Spools of cable, wire, or tubing
- Front and rear should be secured with 2 chains through the eye, each pulling at opposite 45 deg. angles
- If the reels / spools are not butted together then each spool must have 2 forms of securement pulling at opposite 45 deg. angles. If you run out of chains, then straps may be used through the eye on the center ones
- If butted together then the front and rear reels / spools should be secured with 2 chains through the eye of spool pulling at opposite 45 deg. angles and the ones in between must each have a minimum of 1 securement device through the eye. Note: 2 is still preferred.
- The shipper normally supplies a pipe to push securement device through the eye.
