- Place dunnage on trailer, space dunnage.
- Double dunnage in the front and rear of trailer
- If material is next to each other, you should have 3 choke straps (front, center, and rear of the load) in addition to the normal strapping.
- If material has vertical spacing, 6 weave straps should be used, 2 alternating over/under and under/over on the front, middle, and rear of the load, in addition strap over the top between the weave straps.
- Place 2 straps within the first 5’ and at least every 8’ thereafter or portion thereof.
- Tighten straps for securement
- If oversized, add banners to front and rear
- Add flags and light on rear of oversize load.
